Spanish textbooks for the 2019-20 school year will be redesigned and will feature new lessons, new texts and more materials from Japan, the Education Ministry said on Friday.

The ministry said that the new textbooks will include lessons from the textbook by the National Institute of Science and Technology, which is the Spanish government agency that develops textbooks, and the textbook developed by the Center for Strategic Education of the Institute of Technology in the Spanish Republic.

The textbook from the institute will be introduced to students in 2019, it said.

The textbooks will also be redesigned to include lessons in the areas of the humanities and social sciences, it added.
